As featured on 'This Morning', ITV, 'The Times' and 'Zest ' Magazine, Buggyfit is the ultimate fitness class for new Mums wanting to get back in shape after their new arrival.

Buggyfit classes are outdoors in the fresh air with your baby or toddler in their buggy.

This power walking class lasts one hour and includes stretches, strengthening and toning, and improves posture and pelvic floor strength to make you look and feel great!

Buggyfit is also a great chance to meet regularly with other mothers and improve your well-being and reduce stress.

Having gained 'baby weight' myself I know it can seem intimidating to start exercising, please don't worry as Buggyfit is a fun and relaxed, non-competitive class where you can wear comfortable clothing - not Lycra!

GETTING STARTED!

Classes currently running in Soham and Burwell  

The sessions will take place on parks and pathways in Burwell and Soham.

Women can join Buggyfit once they are 6 weeks post vaginal delivery, or 8 - 10 weeks post c-section and have been cleared by their GP. 

I will need you to complete a postnatal health questionnaire prior to starting,  Please get in touch and I will forward this to you before your first class.

Payment

10 classes for the price of 9 - £45 (The 10 sessions must be used in a 12 week period). 

Pay as you go £5 per class.

Older babies

Mothers with older babies / toddlers are also welcome, its never too late to improve your health and fitness! You will benefit greatly from getting into exercise at any point as long as the toddler is happy to be wheeled around in the buggy for an hour!  

What if my baby cries?

Babies and toddlers love to see the world go by from their buggies and to watch mum doing her exercises, but if your baby cries do not worry, we are all going through the same thing, and because of the location of each class there is ample opportunity to feed, change and cuddle your baby if you need to. Buggy toys, and finger food for weaned babies are a good distraction!

Bad weather

There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing!

Classes will still go ahead. Just bring waterproofs and a rain cover for your buggy.

Equipment and clothing

Please wear comfortable clothes such as jogging bottoms and a good pair of trainers. Wearing layers helps in changeable weather, and if you get too warm whilst exercising. Please wear waterproofs in the rain and hats and gloves in cold weather so you can still enjoy your workout!  

A good sports bra is important, especially during and after pregnancy when the breast tissue can be stretched due to movement and weight during walking/jogging and other exercises.

Please bring water to drink and any equipment for your baby that you may need. We are all in the same boat so please don’t worry if you need to stop to comfort your baby.

Resistance bands for strengthening will be provided.

Any Buggy can be used for Buggyfit as all walking routes are planned with buggies in mind, but walking on grass on the parks will be part of the workout so if you have more than one buggy please use your most robust one!

For comfort, change and feed your baby before the class so that you and your baby are comfortable and can have a great time!
