Burwell Pilates Classes

I have been teaching Pilates in Burwell since 2007 and I love to teach there. There is always a lovely atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. Many people who attend are local, however others come from other towns and villages to attend. The classes are held in the Gardiner Memorial hall which can be found on the ‘Maps’ section of this site. There is good parking behind the building.

I teach people of all ages within the beginners and the intermediate classes. I limit class numbers so that I can offer individual attention and adapt exercises or offer varying levels for each exercise to suit individals. Everyone’s body is different and you will find different exercises more or less challenging than the next person. Where a class member may have an injury or other limitation, specific postural problems or becomes pregnant and wants to continue in the class, exercises can be modified and adapted.

We occasionally use hand weights and resistance bands (provided) for certain exercises to add variety and challenge.

Once you start the class you can keep your place for as long as you like. Payments are made in 6 week blocks and I ask that payments are made one week prior to the start of each block.

I look forward to teaching you!

  Milton Pilates Classes

I have been teaching Pilates in Milton since 2006 and have been pleased that although the classes are on Saturday mornings, when many people have other commitments, that the classes have always been popular. There is a good atmosphere within the class and I am always pleased to hear how they have enjoyed the class, as well as feeling the benefits of the exercises.

The classes are held in the room upstairs in the community centre on Coles Road in Milton, it is a lovely space with lots of natural light through the large windows, and numbers are limited, enabling me to see everyone at all times, and give help where needed. I like to give time to each person, which is not possible in large classes, this is especially important in beginner classes where learning the technique properly is vital.

As with my Burwell classes we occasionally use hand weights and resistance bands for certain exercises to add variety and challenge.

Once you start the class you can keep your place for as long as you like. Payments are made in 6 week blocks and I ask that payments are made one week prior to the start of each block.

I look forward to teaching you!

Forever Active Pilates classes in Trumpington and Cherry Hinton.

The Forever Active scheme provides exercise and activity sessions for the over 50 age group within Cambridge City.

Sessions range from chair based exercises, which are suitable for people with mobility problems, to activities for the active 50+.

Having previously taught chair based exercise for the scheme and private care homes, I now teach Pilates for the scheme at the Trumpington Pavilion and at the Cherry Hinton village centre. Both classes are fantastic and I love to teach them. Both venues are lovely and the people are great, very welcoming and very enthusiastic. There is nothing better than knowing how much the classes help people who attend. These classes are drop in classes so you do not book a course of classes, simply pay £3.00 if you are a member of the Forever Active forum or £3.50 for non-members, each time you come to the class.

Pilates is beneficial for all ages but is vital in aging, providing  muscular strength and endurance, balance, coordination, flexibility, pelvic floor strength, well-being and relaxation to name a few!

There are mats provided but if you prefer to use your own bring it with you.

Contact details for the Forever Active co coordinator can be found on the class listing above but it is not necessary to contact, just come along and have a go! All information is on the class listing above.

Pilates at The Frank Lee centre – Addenbrookes Hospital site

I have been teaching Pilates Classes at the Frank Lee since 2008, I teach 4 classes per week Levels 1-3.  These classes are drop in classes  for members only.

The centre is fantastic with great facilities and equipment, and very friendly. I love to teach here as the people are so friendly and enthusiastic and they do not overfill the classes.

People from all parts of the hospital come to Pilates for general fitness and well-being, and also to improve posture, alleviate back and shoulder pain (resulting from sitting or standing for long periods at work), and also to build core strength and flexibility to improve performance in sports and other fitness classes.

If you work at the hospital and are a member, come along and try Pilates
